The stormy Crown whose Lustre [c]lear,
Illumes our Norther hemisphere,
With lessen’d radience shines tonight
Dimmed by the living Beams benign,
Of Eyes that greet Saint Valentine,
In Love and Beauty dully bright.
‘Tis well that heavenly bodies know
No dread of rival charms below;
Else might you doubt the gratulation
This Crown presents, since sure to find
The Virtues of your heart and mind,
And fairer, brighter Constellation.
