Behold the Mother bird soft bending

Assiduous o’er her infant care,

Her constant mate well pleas’d attending

Her task to cheer, her toil to share.

Deservedly, my fair, is thine

A lot so dear so blest as this!

Then greet with smiles Saint Valentine,

Who offers you domestic bliss.
