Figures Dancing around a Cloud

Figures Dancing around a Cloud

Though sweet the Music of the spheres

Why should we seek its strain to know,

It is not heard by mortal Ears,

Nor can on Mortals Bliss bestow.

Though bright the Stars in yonder sky,

No warmth their distant Rays impart,

Thy soften’d Voice and brilliant Eye

Can soothe the soul and warm the heart,

Then sweetly sing and mildly shine

And bid thy Lover’s Bliss be thine.
