Tis not that we would here [ex]press

A coarse and vulgar Shepherdess

Of England or of [Scotia],

My Song is of the olden Time

And fam’d Arcadia’s pastoral Rhyme

Or [V]allies of Boatia

Kings Duaghters then with Flocks [w’]rove

And Gentlewomen spun and wove

Nor fail’d in Grace nor Beauty

[E]’en such your Shepherdess Appears

Who rur’al Life with Grace endears,

And each domestic Duty!__
