Title
Hillel's Purim celebration
Description
Jewish students at Hopkins have had a long tradition of putting on a Purim party. In the 1960s, there was one community-oriented party with traditional Jewish music and a reading of the megillah, or Scroll of Esther. In later years, two parties were held--one with a megillah reading and another more social celebration held off campus which would be well attended by Jews and non-Jews.
