Title
Yom Kippur Class Cancellation proposed
Description
As a large contingent of students (reportedly 38%) were Jewish in 1972, the University seriously considered a student request to cancel classes on Yom Kippur, the holiest day of the Jewish year. While they never cancelled the classes that day, the University has accommodated the holiday, both for students and faculty.
