Pictured are selections from the Sonneborn Collection, currently located at Johns Hopkins Hillel. The Sonneborn Collection, donated in 1901, was perhaps the first University collection of "Jewish ceremonial objects"16. It was matched by "no doubt the largest number of students of all Semitic departments in this country," and was aided by several other Hopkins Jewish libraries.17
