Dublin Core

Title

The Giant Octopus

Description

Propaganda aimed at American audiences came from both sides of the conflict. In The British Black Book, the author assigns blame for the global conflict to England, depicted here as a giant octopus destroying other nations. This item can be found in the papers of German-born linguist Klara Hectenberg Collitz, who moved to Baltimore when her husband Hermann Collitz began teaching in the department of Germanic Studies at Hopkins in 1907.
