Apocryphal letters attributed to St. Anthony, the Virgin Mary, and Jesus, with other spurious, or genuine but highly interpolated, epistles attributed to St. Ignatius of Antioch, were gathered together in this anthology to constitute the earliest works of Christian theology after the New Testament.
