Established in 1958, the Jewish Student Association has conducted social, religious, Zionist, and cultural events at Johns Hopkins for nearly sixty years.  Some of the highlights have been Purim parties, falafel stands at Spring Fair, and recently free Shabbat dinners.  For the first forty years, the JSA functioned largely without professional staff, and ran most of its programming out of the Kosher Dining Hall, then a major center for Jewish life.  Since the establishment of Hillel in 1998, JSA has worked closely with the staff of Hopkins Hillel to bring their programming to even more students.
